The General Courses Department is an academic–administrative unit within the College of Science. It does not enroll students directly; rather, it is responsible for organizing and coordinating the general courses shared among the various scientific departments of the college.

The department oversees the coordination of study plans for general courses, standardizes their academic content, and supervises their distribution and scheduling among departments, ensuring academic integration and quality in the educational process, and supporting the college’s academic programs in accordance with approved academic standards.

To achieve excellence in organizing and coordinating general courses in a way that enhances the quality of the educational process and promotes academic integration among the departments of the College of Science.

To manage and coordinate general courses shared among the scientific departments of the College of Science, standardize their academic content, and ensure their effective delivery in accordance with approved academic standards, thereby supporting academic programs and improving educational outcomes.

2. To standardize and continuously develop the content of general courses in line with academic standards.
3. To coordinate with scientific departments regarding the teaching and scheduling of general courses.
4. To ensure the quality of general courses and achieve academic integration with specialized programs.
5. To support departmental study plans in a manner consistent with the College’s educational mission and objectives.
